National Public Health Week to Feature Student Photo Project
“Picture This: Public Health in Pittsburgh,” is a student-initiated project that aims to raise awareness about public health. Students and faculty used disposable cameras and removable stickers with the “This is Public Health” logo to document public health in everyday life. The resulting photos will be on display in the GSPH Community Commons, Room 118 Parran Hall, on Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 10. In addition, a reception with GSPH dean Donald Burke, MD, and Allegheny County Health Department director Bruce Dixon, MD, will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday April 9. The events are open to the public.
